Who have you worked with in the past? And what have you done for them?
My job history reads like Mike Rowe’s. While in school, I mucked horse stalls, landscaped, sprayed fungicides on ornamental trees and shrubs, trimmed and removed trees, assisted a real estate appraiser, was a janitor, worked on a couple pig farms, a couple factories, manufactured street lamps, drove school bus, was a personal trainer, assembled fire trucks, and worked residential construction as a carpenter. I wanted to learn something about everything.
Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
I’ve been lucky to live all over. Born in Green Bay, lived in the mountains of Colorado for about 10 years, went to college in southern Minnesota, spent a year in Columbus, Ohio, and then moved back to Eagle River, Wisconsin. I love Wisconsin for its lakes and forests, and the bird-sized mosquitoes and sub-zero winters that go with it. And the Packers. Love the Pack.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
Packers football and some kind of physical exercise.
How do you want to be remembered?
As a genuinely decent person who really tried to help other people. And a heck of a good cribbage player.
